Introducing John Hoffman: Brisbane Trumpet Player & Jazz Legend

Experience the mesmerising talent of John Hoffman. With a rich musical background and notable collaborations, John brings a wealth of expertise to every performance.

US born John Hoffman toured and recorded with the Big Bands of Glenn Miller/Buddy De Franco, Buddy Rich, Woody Herman and Harry James. He has performed with Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Ray Charles, Tony Bennett, Sammy Davis Jr., Peter Allen, and Olivia Newton-John.

Living in Australia since 1977, John led his own Big Band for 10 years in Sydney, and has performed and recorded with leading Australian artists and major orchestras.

John taught at Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University for 26 years. He travels throughout Australia and overseas, performing, adjudicating, and conducting workshops and Master Classes.
